Common Questions

How much do I need to retire comfortably in India?

A common rule: 25x your annual expenses adjusted for inflation. If you spend ₹50,000/month today and plan to retire in 15 years (at 6% inflation), you'd need approximately ₹3.6 Cr. Our FIRE Calculator can give you a personalized number.

Is it too late to start retirement planning at 40?

Absolutely not. Starting at 40 with a disciplined SIP of ₹25,000/month at 12% returns could build ₹1.5+ Cr by 55. The plan looks different from someone starting at 25, but it's never too late.

Should I invest in NPS?

NPS offers an additional ₹50,000 tax deduction (Section 80CCD(1B)) beyond the ₹1.5L limit. The equity exposure is capped at 75% but it's one of the lowest-cost retirement products. We recommend it as part of a broader strategy, not the only strategy.

What about EPF,should I increase my VPF?

VPF (Voluntary Provident Fund) gives guaranteed 8.1% returns with sovereign guarantee,it's excellent for the debt portion of your retirement portfolio. We help balance VPF with equity investments for optimal growth.
